  1、 Lowering blood pressure

  Regularly taking a sauna can help avoid developing high blood pressure. Hypertension is an important risk factor for heart disease. Researchers at the University of East Finland have found that compared to their peers who only take a sauna once a week, men who take at least four saunas a week have almost halved the risk of developing heart disease.

  The study, published in the American Journal of Hypertension, selected 1621 middle-aged Finnish men who were not diagnosed with hypertension at the beginning of the study. During an average follow-up period of 22 years, men who took saunas 4-7 times a week had a 46% reduced risk of developing hypertension, while men who took saunas 2-3 times a week had a 24% reduced risk of developing hypertension.

  A study published in the Journal of Elderly and Aging showed that the more frequently volunteers take saunas, the lower their risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. The participants were divided into three groups. The first group consisted of people who took saunas 4-7 times a week, the second group consisted of people who took saunas 2-3 times a week, and the third group consisted of people who only took saunas once a week.

  Researchers have found that compared to those who only take a sauna once a week, the group with the most frequent saunas has a 66% lower risk of developing any form of Alzheimer's disease and a 65% lower risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

  3、 Live long

  Researchers from the University of East Finland tracked 2300 middle-aged men who had been using saunas for an average of 20 years. They steam for an average of 14 minutes in a sauna room with a temperature of 60 ℃ each time they wash.

  The results of this study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association - Internal Medicine, showed that during the follow-up period, 49% of men who took a sauna once a week died, 38% of men who took a sauna 2-3 times a week died, and only 31% of men who took a sauna 4-7 times a week died.
