The design of a family sauna must pay attention to two aspects: insulation and ventilation.
Attention should be paid to the insulation design of home sauna rooms: the walls, ceilings, and doors of the sauna room should be appropriately insulated. When calculating the power requirements of an electric heater, the volume of uninsulated surface per square meter will increase by approximately 1.2 cubic meters. The sauna room shall be provided with proper moisture-proof treatment to prevent damp gas from entering the structure of other rooms or walls. The moisture-proof device shall be installed between the heating insulation layer and the Flat noodles.
For the ventilation design of a family sauna, it is important to note that an appropriate proportion of hot and cold air should be mixed in the sauna. Another reason for ventilation is to absorb the air around the electric heater and transfer heat to the farther end of the room. The position of the air inlet and outlet can be adjusted according to the design of the sauna and the owner's preferences. The air inlet should be directly installed on the wall below the electric heater. When using forced ventilation, the air inlet should be installed at least 60cm above the electric heater or on the ceiling above the electric heater. It is recommended that the size of the air inlet be 5-10cm, and the exhaust outlet should be located diagonally opposite the air inlet. It is recommended to install an exhaust outlet below the countertop in the sauna, and try to keep it as far away from the air exchange as possible. The exhaust outlet can be located near the floor or extended from underground to the ceiling or ventilation openings under the door of the sauna room through a dedicated exhaust pipe.
