A sauna ETL authorization should be read as a model-specific control document, not as a general badge for every sauna a supplier sells. Before sourcing, match the report number, applicant, manufacturer, marking location, standards, product description, exact model and issue date to the quotation and product label.
Evidence scope: This guide uses Bropool’s Intertek Authorization to Mark for Report 251016179GZU-001, issued 16 September 2026. It explains how a buyer can read that record. It does not extend the record to an unlisted model, a changed electrical configuration or a different destination requirement.
Sauna ETL certification: the fields a buyer should match
| Document field | What the Bropool record shows | Buyer check |
|---|---|---|
| Document and report | Authorization to Mark for Report 251016179GZU-001 | Request the current complete copy and keep the report number with the quotation. |
| Issue date | 16 September 2026 | Confirm that the document has not been superseded and matches the current supplied model. |
| Applicant | Shenzhen Bropool Industrial Co., Ltd. | Match the commercial party and document holder used in the project records. |
| Manufacturer | Huizhou Riviwe Technology Co., Ltd., as written on the ATM | Confirm the actual manufacturing location and the entity named on the product record. |
| Party authorized to apply the mark | Same as manufacturer | Check that the marking location and supplied product follow the listed manufacturing route. |
| Control number | 5035551 | Use the number with the product label, report and Intertek directory search. |
| Product | Sauna Room | Do not treat a visually similar cabin or an unrelated component as automatically covered. |
| Standards | UL 875:2024 Ed.10 and CSA C22.2 No. 164:2018 Ed.2 | Confirm the destination, electrical configuration and current authority or importer requirements. |
| Models | 25 specifically named IS-series sauna room models | The quotation and rating label should use one of the listed model identifiers without an unexplained variation. |
The document itself states that the mark may be applied only to the covered models when they are made under the conditions of the certification agreement and listing report. That is why the model list matters more than a logo copied into a catalog.
1. Start with the report number and current document
Record the report number before comparing models. Bropool’s current ATM is tied to Report 251016179GZU-001. The same number should follow the buyer’s document request, internal approval record and any clarification sent to the supplier. A certificate screenshot without its report number, issue date and complete page is weak evidence.
The ATM also says that it supersedes previous Authorizations to Mark for the report. Buyers should therefore ask for the current document rather than relying on an old sales attachment. The complete supplied PDF is available through Bropool’s Product Compliance and Documentation page and the original ATM file.
2. Separate the applicant, manufacturer and marking location
The applicant and manufacturer are separate fields. On this ATM, Shenzhen Bropool Industrial Co., Ltd. is the applicant, while Huizhou Riviwe Technology Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer named on the record. The party authorized to apply the mark is stated as the same as the manufacturer.
For a distributor or private-label buyer, this distinction helps answer three different questions: who holds the relationship with the certification body, where the covered product is manufactured, and where the mark may be applied. Compare those fields with the quotation, product label, packing documents and supplier due-diligence record. Bropool’s factory and quality page provides the separate production context; the ATM remains the certification-scope record.
3. Match the exact sauna model, not the product appearance
The Bropool ATM lists 25 sauna room models. It does not say that every Bropool sauna, every outdoor cabin or every future model is covered.
| Listed model group | Models shown on the ATM |
|---|---|
| Individual model | IS-5256 |
| IS1100 series | IS1102, IS1103, IS1104, IS1105 |
| IS1200 series | IS1201, IS1202, IS1203, IS1204, IS1205 |
| IS1300 series | IS1301, IS1302, IS1303, IS1304, IS1305 |
| IS1400 series | IS1401, IS1402, IS1403, IS1404, IS1405 |
| IS1500 series | IS1501, IS1502, IS1503, IS1504, IS1505 |
A buyer should copy the exact model identifier from the quotation and compare it character by character with the ATM and the product rating label. For example, IS1102 is named, while IS1101 is not shown on this ATM. An OS outdoor model, a barrel-sauna code or a marketing family name should not be treated as covered unless a relevant record names it.
Use the Bropool sauna range to choose a product route, then use the current quotation and document package to confirm whether the selected model belongs to this authorization.
4. Read the standards together with the product and destination
The ATM identifies the product as Sauna Room and names two standards: UL 875:2024 Ed.10 for electric dry bath heaters and CSA C22.2 No. 164:2018 Ed.2 for electric sauna heating equipment. Do not reduce that information to the sentence “the factory has ETL.” The useful question is whether the quoted sauna model, heater and electrical configuration match the listing report and the destination-market requirement.
Intertek describes the ETL Listed Mark as a product-safety certification route and provides an official product directory for verifying marked products. OSHA’s current list of Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories includes Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. A buyer should still confirm local electrical, installation, importer and authority requirements for the actual project.
5. Verify the product label and directory record
Before production approval, ask for a label or nameplate proof showing the model, electrical ratings and certification identifiers intended for the order. Compare that proof with the ATM, the quotation and the applicable directory entry. If the model code, voltage, heater, control system or manufacturing party differs, record the difference and obtain a written document match before relying on the mark.
Intertek’s directory guidance explains that its product directories are used to verify products carrying Intertek marks. The directory is therefore a useful independent check, but it does not replace the complete report, current model label or project-specific review.
6. Keep the quotation, configuration and document package aligned
Certification review should happen before the buyer freezes the quotation. Changes to the heater, controller, voltage, wiring, labels or other electrical components can affect which record applies. A private-label logo or packaging change may be primarily commercial, while a technical substitution can require a new document review.
Use the Sauna Specification Guide to define the model and configuration, then request the corresponding ATM, directory information, manual, drawing, rating-label proof and quotation revision. Keep those files together as the approval record.
Sauna ETL document checklist before ordering
- Record the current ATM and report number.
- Confirm the issue date and whether the document supersedes an earlier copy.
- Match the applicant, manufacturer and party authorized to apply the mark.
- Compare the exact quoted model with the complete listed-model section.
- Confirm the voltage, frequency, heater, controller and other electrical configuration.
- Compare the proposed rating label with the quotation and document identifiers.
- Check the relevant Intertek directory information.
- Confirm destination-market, importer, installer and authority requirements.
- Keep the approved quotation, drawing, manual, label proof and certification files under the same model revision.
What this authorization does not prove
The ATM is not blanket evidence for every Bropool sauna or every production claim. It does not automatically cover an unlisted outdoor sauna, a visually similar model, an altered electrical configuration or a locally required approval outside its scope. It also states that initial factory assessments and follow-up services relate to appropriate use of the certification mark; they are not a replacement for the client’s own production quality-control obligations.
That boundary is useful, not negative. It gives buyers a clear acceptance method: choose the product, lock the model and electrical configuration, then request the exact record that applies.
Request a model-specific sauna document match
Send Bropool the proposed sauna model, voltage, heater and controller route, destination country and buyer document list. Bropool can compare the request with the available record and identify any open question before quotation approval. Start through Request a Quote.
